Does not matter whether it's small or big, just put that candy in :D

A few weeks back I was talking to my grandfather when he shared some of his not-so-pleasant life stories with me. Since childhood I have a deep-rooted sense of love and respect for him but knowing about how he overcame such situations, it boosted up like a 🚀. I wondered how he hadn't told me about it earlier because if such things would have happened to me and I overcame it in that way - I would flex about it all the time foshooo xD.
Curious to know his point of view, I asked him to describe life in a few words. In my native language, he told me "It's like a maze and you've got to struggle through it many of the times". He isn't unhappy about his life but I think he wanted to convey that it is not always a smooth sail.
We can't escape hardships all the time and that's a fact. At the same time, we can keep some good memories safe and fall back on it whenever we feel low.
Which is why I'm very excited to introduce to you my version of the Happiness Jars!
What Jar? What Candies?

Jar is your collection and good
memories are your candies. So I mean a collection of good memories.
Good memories need not always be extraordinary ones. Example, one of the most treasured candies in my jar is the way I have my evening tea with my mother everyday.
If some memory makes you feel good, that's your candy. Now how do I preserve this feeling of happiness?
The Gen-Z way: Click pictures. Take videos. Believe me when I say this, I do click pictures of almost every good moment whenever possible. My friends are 100% confident that after every birthday video call, I'll have a screenshot of us smiling (and they are 100% right 👍🏽).
The Old-school way: Journal it down. In case you don't have a gratitude journal, my earnest suggestion would be to take a small notebook and try to write just one sentence everyday regarding which one instant of the day made you feel good.
The Evergreen way ( or the 0-effort way ): Devour the candy by which I mean, live the moment and feel it fully. Our mind will help us with the rest.
A well-known way in the internet is to actually have a jar in your house in which you put your daily gratitude chits in, which comes under the old-school umbrella as mentioned above. Try anyone which you are comfortable with but make it a point to preserve and fill in your jar as much as possible.
Breaking News: We have unlimited Jars!
One life, friends.
In case you are as naïve as me sometimes and you think that going for a trip this month means not going for a trip in the next 6 months - it's high time we shatter this idea together.
Sad moments do not come in monthly installments and the same is true for happiness. Some phases are just outright bad and long, and it wouldn't be rational of us to expect that we try to find happiness from them. Which means even happy phases can be long and that does not mean we don't deserve to enjoy every bit of it. So try to fill your jar whenever possible.
Prioritize taking time out for ✨Experiences✨
If your family makes an impulsive plan to go for a long drive - don't be reluctant to join in if you have some free time in your schedule. Celebrate little wins, see the beauty in everyday moments with your loved ones, preserve your happy candies and find comfort in these when life punches you on your face.
Quick fact about this blog - 'The Happiness Jars' is a poem I wrote last to last year. The concept of this blog comes directly from there. Someday, I hope I get a chance to share it in my poetry book xD.
Lastly, I wish the new year brings along with it a truck load of delicious candies for us to fill our happiness jars with.😄 Happy weekend!

. I like your post very much and it’s a good one . all the best for next post
A unique expression! ❤Memories are like antiques. The older they are, the more valuable they become. These are our assets when sailing through rough waters. Don't wait for the right moment, just enjoy what comes your way and Be Happy....one more candy added to the jar!!!🤗
A short n sweet post, urging us to find happiness in small things. The concept of jar of candies for happy memories n taking out a candy when feeling low, is beautiful. Wishing you a Happy New Year n loads of candy jars!!
The Happines of Jars really helps a lot. It's like when we are sad we can take a candy of good memory. Re-living the old memories and cherishing it is always like rebooting your mind.
Keep it up Rashmi, you're doing great 👍👍👍👍
Didn't bring much of an impact for me as the previous ones, but still liked your view point.👍
